Photographing Paris when there is snow, and there is sun!

Updated: May 4, 2021

La Seine

Photographing Paris with short snow. And if we are lucky, in addition to snow, we have sun ...

We leave you the list of the best places to photograph this winter 2018 before the snow leaves for a whole year ...

1. The big wheel in the Place de la Concorde.

From here you will have a wonderful view of the Jardin de las Tuillerías, the Parisian rooftops to the north and south and the avenue des Champs-Élysées with the Arc de Triomphe in the background. As this is his last year in this square, that is our first recommendation.

2. Photograph the parks

As they have been closed all these days, tomorrow is the best day to visit any of the great parks in Paris. You will have fresh snow for urban photos, stock photography or for fun with family portraits.

If you like French gardens, visit the Jardin des Tuileries, the Jardin de Luxembourg or the Jardin des Plantes. If you like nature in the English style, these are the best parks, and if you like contemporary parks we recommend Bercy, André Citröen park or the wonderful Villete.

3. Sacre Coeur and the Eiffel Tower

As these areas have been open to the public, there will surely be little snow left. For this reason, to photograph the Sacre-Coeur, go down the stairs and take advantage of the large snow-covered embankments and for the Eiffel Tower, take advantage of the snow of the Champs de Mars.

4. Take advantage of the sunset by Notre-Dame

When the afternoon falls and the sun shines, visit Notre-Dame from where you can photograph the river with the colors alight.
